 In 1955 John Stoltz and L.Harry Merwin founded the Merwin Stoltz Company. From its beginning, the company has continued to grow into one of the area’s premier cutting tool, abrasive, and machine tool distributorships. To this day, the company remains family owned and operated.
In 1986 the Machine Tool Division was established. A service division and applications department was established to further enhance the company’s ability to provide full service to our customer base.
In 1996 the company moved into a newly designed facility in Menomonee Falls, WI. The facility consisted of a warehouse area and machine tool demonstration area. Less than 4 years later, an addition to the building was put on to provide for additional space to grow into a 20,000-sq/ft facility. This addition further enhanced the company’s ability to provide enhanced quick turn-around and delivery of tooling orders, plus a training area.
The company’s mission has always been to provide complete manufacturing solutions to its customer base. With the ability to merge the Cutting Tool Division and the Machine Tool Division together to address a customer’s requirements, the company brings to the table the ability to address process establishment and future refinement, installation, service, and sales through the manufacturers the company represents.
